When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
They were saying among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were amazed.And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him!And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’”But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
When they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country.After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
They went away and told it to the rest. They didn’t believe them, either.And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen.Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
